October is breast Cancer Awareness Month, and that means pink everywhere for all our strong women who have survived.

What is breast Cancer?

-A cancer that forms in the cells of the breasts and is commonly found in women and rarely in men.

What are the symptoms?

-Symptoms may include a lump in the breast, bloody discharge from the nipple and change in the shape or texture of the nipple or breast.

-In some cases there might be minimum such as redness or swollen lymph nodes, to no symptoms at all.

Treatment

(May Depend On Stage)

-Chemotherapy: use of drugs to destroy cancer cells, usually by keeping the cancer cells from growing, dividing and making more cells

-Radiation: the use of high-energy x-rays or other particles to destroy the cancer cells

-Surgery: this is the removal of the tumor and some surrounding healthy tissue during an operation.

There are a few other treatment methods that are still being explored but these ones above are the most common. We are once more bringing you knowledge.
